About the author.
My name is Duncan, I am a sports climber, a surfer and I also do a
little work on the side to fund it all. I have been climbing for about 3
years and surfing since I can remember (more than 20 years). This is
my website which records all my exploits.
Behind the scenes at flatrocks.
•
Dawn (my better half), checker of spellings and also a sport
climber that seems to spend more time sun bathing than
actually climbing.
•
Richard (fitness fanatic) and supplier of the surfing photos.
•
Ryan, Dani, Dawn and Guy (a mixed bunch) are the suppliers
of the climbing photos.
The aim of the website?
The aim of this website is to promote surfing and sports climbing.
Actually its not. Please stay at home and browse the internet instead.
I am much happier surfing at empty breaks and climbing deserted sea
cliffs. Only kidding, the aim of the website is to record the
adventures and mishaps my friends and I have experienced.
A short history of flatrocks.
The flatrocks website started life as the ‘Porth surf cam’ back 2002 when surf cams were all the rage. Back in the days of dial up
internet and both Rich and I lived at Porth Beach, Newquay.
It was soon obvious that a surf cam website for Porth wasn’t going to work for us, so inspired by Jons website
(http://teethgrinder.co.uk/) flatrocks was created. I have been working on flatrocks website for the last 8 years
(not that it shows).
